  5. The first 16-port board with two on-board 16MHz 80C186 microprocessors, the ACL
  6. 16+ from Tekdata offers twice the processing power of other 16-port boards. The
  7. upgraded board now offers faster on-board processing and more efficient data
  8. handling - more than doubling system throughput on all channels. On-board
  9. processing power make the ACL 16+ board ideal for more sophisticated multiport
  10. installations, especially when slot conservation is critical. Combining two
  11. powerful, intelligent boards in one configuration, the ACL 16+ provides optimum
  12. speed and system response on all 16 channels. System speed is further enhanced
  13. by 16Kb dual-port RAM and 64Kb scratch RAM serving each microprocessor. That's
  14. double the buffer of other 16 port boards. The versatile ACL 16+ offers three
  15. handshake options: Full, partial and none. The ACL 16+ inserts into a 16-bit
  16. expansion slot of IBM AT and 286, 386 and 486 AT-class compatibles. The number
  17. of ACL 16+ boards which can be installed in a single host-based system depends
  18. on many factors including host power supply, expansion slots available, and
  19. application. All factors considered, a typical 386 system with four ACL 16+
  20. boards will support 64 multiuser terminals or serial devices. Besides
  21. field-proven reliability, the intelligent ACL 16+ provides: System expansion
  22. with minimum down time - upgrade ports/memory configurations in the field; dual
  23. port memory can be located anywhere in the host's 16Mb address space for
